About the Artist

Elisabeth Schubart's work is represented in numerous private collections in the UK and abroad. She specialises in lithography and etching, but also creates monoprints. A longstanding member of Bath Artist Printmakers Ltd., Elisabeth is primarily a figurative artist. She explores the forms and cycles of plant life and the idiosyncracies of farm animals and poultry. She is an observer of the effects of weather and light on land and seascapes. Her work - which ranges in scale from large to mini-prints - is produced by traditional methods, using zinc and copper plates and lithographic stone. She prints by hand on acid-free paper made from cotton rags.
