Angharad Rhys Roberts
MISPA, ITEC

Angharad Rhys Roberts comes
from a Celtic family with strong
interests in plants, herbs and gardens.
From an early age she has been
enchanted by the world of plants and
fragrances, and intrigued by their
medicinal and healing qualities.
These interests were reinforced in
adulthood by travel in Asia and America.
In 1992 Angharad decided to train in
aromatherapy with Elisabeth Jones, one
of the founders of modern British aromatherapy.
A fully qualified Member of the
International Society of Professional
Aromatherapists (MISPA) Angharad now
offers 1¼ hour treatments at her clinic or,
if you prefer, in the ease of your own
home surroundings.
Incorporated in the treatment is shiatsu,
reflexology and ayurvedic medicine.
Each individual client coming for
treatment is given a full consultation in
total confidence so that the most
appropriate oils are used in the therapy.
Each oil has its unique healing and
medicinal properties and each blend is
subtly different.
Clients may also purchase individual
aftercare remedies for continued use
at home.

Aromatherapy
Hippocrate, the father of medicine, said that
"the way to health is to
have an aromatic bath and
scented massage each day"
More recently Dr. Richard Horton,
editor of The Lancet proposed the
introduction of a tax incentive to
encourage the use of aromatherapy.
Aromatherapy is beneficial for everyone, and is
especially useful in stress related problems.
Essentila oils are used to maintain and promote
the health and vitality of the spirit, emotions and physical body.
As well as massage, aromatherapy can be applied
by other practical methods such as inhalations,
compresses, diffusers and baths.
Aromatherapy massage:
Supports emotional wellbeing
Decreases stress tension
Speeds recovery
Aids in the management of chronic pain
Releases toxins from the body
Encourages muscle tone and elasticity
Stimulates nerve supply and cell activity
Increases blood circulation by a factor of three
Prevents and releases muscle stiffness and soreness
Encourages the nutritional development of muscular systems
