The quiet garden offers an opportunity for stillness and reflection
"Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest" (Mark 6:31)
THE QUIET GARDEN AT ST JULIAN¹S WELL is a small house sitting in a sheltered valley on the edge of Wellow. The garden has a rill running through it and is surrounded by an old canal bank and a stretch of woodland. It is away from the road. We are open on the first Thursday of each month from April September from 10.15am to 3.15pm for anyone, of whatever faith or denomination, who would like a time of peace and reflection. The day centres on quiet and stillness with short reflections and prayer for people to join in or not as they wish. At around 12.30pm we pause to eat and talk. You are invited to come for the whole day or part of it. There is no charge for the day but donations are welcome to help defray expenses. We are affiliated to the Quiet Garden Trust an international movement whose primary vision is to initiate and resource a network of local opportunities for prayer, silence, reflection and appreciation of beauty; for learning about Christian life and spirituality www.quietgarden.co.uk . "Each Quiet Garden, while being affiliated to The Quiet Garden Trust, is encouraged to organise its own programme and to respond to local needs."
