The Lunch Club

The Wellow Lunch Club was started on the initiative of Mrs. Joanne Rittner in October 1991. A small grant from Age Concern helped the Club to buy some of its own equipment. Meals are home-cooked by volunteers and served in the Village Hall.

Members are mostly in their 60s or older, but there is some flexibility about this and some young people come.

Average numbers at each lunch is 35 and the cost of a meal is £3.50.

Monthly meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month, except at christmas when the meeting is usually held a week earlier. No meetings are held in July and August.
